My computer had some sort of fatal error causing Windows XP

My computer had some sort of fatal error causing Windows XP to reinstall.  It appears to have done so with limited success.  Most of my settings and documents seem to have been restored properly.  However, when I attempted to open Microsoft OneNote 2003, it attempted to install the program (which I have been using since I bought this computer!)  In the middle of the install attempt, a warning comes up that says: "Installation Error: file not found.  A required installation file SKU1A1.CAB could not be found"  It then asks for the installation source.  I received OneNote2003 with my Toshiba Laptop, and I don't want to risk putting in the Toshiba System Restore disk - because don't those disks restore your computer to like new defaults with all of my files being thereby lost?   Please HELP!
